Karen Malik
Karen Malik has been a facilitator of Monroe Institute programs and it’s exploration of consciousness for 31 years. She met Bob Monroe in 1977 when assisting at the first 10 day workshop which was given at Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana. She became Director of the Western Division of the Institute and developed it’s presence on the west coast and also around the country as the National Coordinator of outreach programs. She, along with Chris Lenz,were the initial trainers when the Penn Center opened in Virginia in July of 1979. Through the years, she has been instrumental in the ongoing development of the Institutes programs and, along with Peter Russell, has created Exploration Essence, a program which
focuses on the deepening of ones spiritual journey and the integration of personality. Currently she is Director of Development for the Institute and Senior Residential Facilitator.
She has a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and is licensed in the state of California as a marriage and family therapist. She is also extensively trained in the complementary healing arts. Her work in the consciousness field extends nationally and internationally. Currently, she is on the board and is past president of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM) and also on the board and current president of the Cross-Cultural Studies Program (CCSP). In private practice she specializes using a transpersonal approach when working with clients.
