CURRENT SCHEDULE
The heart of The Monroe Institute programs is the Gateway Voyage. The Gateway Voyage is a six-day intensive program designed to teach the core tools, techniques and principles of mental, emotional, and spiritual growth as taught at The Monroe Institute. In this course, participants are introduced to an audio-guidance technology for integrating consciousness and learn about the numerous opportunities available for mental, emotional, and physical healing.
Emma really enjoyed her Gateway Voyage:
The Gateway Voyage consists of progressive, audio-guidance exercises, application sessions, group discussions, and informal lectures. Additionally, demonstrations and videos elaborate on the research and effects of this audio-guidance technology on brainwave arousal, human behavior, thought, and emotions. Finally, participants are given a tour of the research laboratory to promote further understanding of the research component of The Monroe Institute.
The out-of-body state, and the tools that may be utilized to achieve this particular state of consciousness, are covered in the Gateway Voyage, but that is only a small part of the program’s overall scope of self-awareness, self- empowerment and stress reduction. We cannot guarantee a conscious out-of-body experience during, or subsequent to, a Gateway Voyage Program – but TMI does offer guidance and information about the experience of exploration out of the body.
We believe that coming to the Gateway Voyage with an open mind and a willingness to learn about yourself will greatly enhance your experience. The program does not use a pass-fail, right-wrong learning model. We encourage the exploration of consciousness from a personal and individualistic standpoint that allows you to determine what is most meaningful and effective for you.
Tools you will be provided include:
- Focus 10 -mind awake, body asleep
- Focus 12 – expanded awareness
- Focus 15 – no time
- Focus 21 – other energy systems
These tools and others presented during the program can be used to accomplish a variety of goals.
Goals include:
- relaxation
- recognition and control of personal energy
- problem-solving
- exploration of the out-of-body state
- greater self-awareness
- emotional cleansing
- assertion of goals for your future
In addition to the Gateway Voyage Programs held here in Faber, VA, The Monroe Institute (TMI) and The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) have joined together to offer the Gateway Voyage at their scenic campus in Petaluma, California. Learn more about the Institute of Noetic Sciences by visiting their web site. TMI and IONS are dedicated to the exploration of human consciousness and discovering the many possibilities of human potentiality that may enhance our evolution on our planet.
We are pleased to announce that TMI is also offering the Gateway Voyage in the gorgeous Joshua Tree Retreat Center, Joshua Tree, CA. We will be using the Ding Le Mei House within the retreat center. It is a beautiful desert location; building by Frank Lloyd Wright with swimming pool. LEARN MORE about the Gateway Voyage in Joshua Tree.
The Gateway Voyage is a method of discovery where one can explore different states of consciousness through direct experience. By exploring our internal world, we are able to understand in greater depth the nature of our own reality and our relationship to the universe. We utilize an audio-guidance technology as a tool to access these levels of awareness which assists one in knowing that we are more than our physical bodies. We invite you to find out for yourself and let the Gateway guide you on your own personal voyage inward.

Namaste, I am at a crossroads, feeling and knowing there is a calling of sorts to be a healer. I have done a lot of spiritual work/ for over 12 years, emotional release work. and am a reiki master, always feeling there is more. Considering oneness blessing training, thanks for your time and consideration blessings
Hi Bill…
Maybe we become attracted to Monroe Institute when we feel the ‘healing’ call resonating inside us… this is the place to do the further work. I read what you wrote, and I could almost ‘ditto’ what you’re saying. Let me know if you take the Oneness Blessing training. Would you go to India to do so? Perhaps we’ll meet one day at the Institute)))
Blessings, Marijo

Hello, i found what i was looking for. For many years i have been wondering if a place like this exsisted. I used to day dream about this type of place when i was younger im 23 now but when i was in high school i would think about it alot and i never new until now that my daydreaming was a real place. Thank u One day i will try to vist you. love raquel
I am wondering it the Gateway Voyage in Petaluma is equal to the course given at the Monroe Institute? I would rather take the course at the place it orginated….but Petaluma is only a few hours away from me by car. I know that I will attend a session one day, finances permitting! Thank you!
I feel that I’ve put this off for way to long and plan to make a visit in the near future for the Gateway Voyage. The only question I have; Is it okay to bring a camera and take pictures?
I have recently gotten back in touch with Maureen Caudill and she told me of your institute, I have ordered her book and 2 cd’s on meditating per her recommendation.
I know universities have scholarships, so here is my question, do you ever offer your workshops Gratis to deserving travelers and seekers?
I do not have the financial wherewithal to attend your workshop.
I do not even have the funds to travel to VA.
I believe you have me listed with your group I still get a new letter now and then I would like to get started with this again. My husband died and life was very different for some time I have got used to the way it is now doing all of the up keep on the place was a bit much you know. I did not have much free time any more I think that at least part of the year I do now have things better organized I have been doing a winter fast and study program I think I could include your work with this if you can find me again in your records

One of the participants of a recent Gateway Voyage wrote this poem after her week at TMI. I liked it, and with her permission, would like to share it with others:
Friday morning came too quick and I had not said goodbye
I wished upon the rising sun my flight would pass me by
Within moments of my heart’s content, my flight was not to be
However wisked away to quick and in a cab we be
Upon my arrival safe at home my smile did endure
The happiness abound in me caused others to allure
What’s up my friend what’s with that glow, how did that come to be
The secret is inside you and Monroe you too must flee
Two days have passed my smile still lasts and giddiness remains in me
Life changes have just began with no more limits for me to see
My house has changed with no more sounds of the annoying big TV
And in its place it’s been replaced with sounds heard of recently
Words cannot describe the impact made by those I met last week
An experience truly worth more than anything I ever did seek
My healing sessions already booked and a novel on the way
What changes I have undertook in only a short few days
Gratitude to all of you, I truly do feel blessed
I hope farewell to all of you and wish you all the best.
Cheers, Cindy
thanks, Cindy – you are a talented soul!

Hello,
I have become increasing drawn to remote viewing. Is it critical to take the gateway exp. before this? And if so could you explain what benefits I would gain by taking the gateway class first. Also, I would like to know more about the facilitators of the program.
namasta, cynthia
I had the good fortune of visiting your Institute way back around 1980 or 81. I also was very fortunate to have met Dr. Monroe and spent some time talking with him. I went there for a week end retreat but only two people had registered so it had to be canceled, however the other gentleman
(cannot remember his name) that had registered and I spent the week end at the home of Michael Wood and had a mini retreat. I will never forget this experience. After all this time I want to join again the community and hopefully be able to go the the Gateway retreat.
