Not For Profit 501(c)(3) Status

Organization:

The Monroe Institute® is a lawfully incorporated not-for-profit corporation headquartered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A financial statement is available upon written request from the Office of Consumer Affairs, Commonwealth of Virginia. In 1985 The Institute was known as The Centre Inc., d/b/a The Monroe Institute in Virgina, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Given our official corporate move to Virginia in 2008, the company name was officially changed to The Monroe Institute and the not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization status was re-affirmed in June 2011.

Our educational programs and research efforts provide something of value, something meaningful for our contemporary culture. In our educational programs, explorations of profound states of expanded awareness result in new approaches to ways of thinking and being. Alumnae develop a different overview, a changed perspective from which life’s experiences seem to take on a new significance.

The Institute’s research includes three distinct domains: clinical and applied research done by the Institute’s professional membership, research done at universities and hospitals, and technical research done at the Institute’s facilities in Virginia. Ultimately, the goal of said research is to enable the enhancement of the Institute’s educational curriculum.

Vision Statement:

The Global Awakening of Humanity

Mission Statement:

To enhance worldwide cooperative efforts in furthering the exploration of consciousness, expanded awareness, and discovery of Self.
