Organization:
The Monroe Institute® is a lawfully incorporated not-for-profit corporation headquartered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A financial statement is available upon written request from the Office of Consumer Affairs, Commonwealth of Virginia. The Institute is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) charitable organization furthering the evolution of human consciousness through its educational programs and associated research. The Institute is internationally known for its participatory educational programs that provide opportunities for the personal exploration of expanded states of consciousness.
Our educational programs and research efforts provide something of value, something meaningful for our contemporary culture. In our educational programs, explorations of profound states of expanded awareness result in new approaches to ways of thinking and being. Alumnae develop a different overview, a changed perspective from which life’s experiences seem to take on a new significance.
The Institute’s research includes three distinct domains: clinical and applied research done by the Institute’s professional membership, research done at universities and hospitals, and technical research done at the Institute’s facilities in Virginia. Ultimately, the goal of said research is to enable the enhancement of the Institute’s educational curriculum.
Vision Statement:
To be a leading force for in-depth self-discovery and transformation through research, education, inquiry and innovation.
