Angie has been with The Monroe Institute for 15 years as of March 15, 2009. She is the corporate Secretary/Treasurer as well as the Office Manager here at TMI. Since starting here she has worn many hats and had the privilege of working with Bob Monroe. She has enjoyed working with and supporting the participants who come from all over the world. She loves her job and The Monroe Institute which feels like her home away from home. She lives in Amherst County with her loving, fun, husband and her precious twin boys, Cole and Conner.

Ann has been at TMI for eighteen years, first as a member of the kitchen staff and currently as the special assistant to Shirley Bliley in the Bob Monroe Research Lab. Working both positions has benefited her greatly and allows her to provide service in different areas of the Institute. She assists Shirley with the publication of the TMI newsletters, the Dolphin Energy Club (DEC), and the professional membership. Life outside the Institute is enjoyed by being with her family, reading, and just being.

I am fairly new to the TMI family. I grew up with the Monroe Institute in my backyard (I am a native of Nelson County) but never really knew about the wonderful opportunities here. I am very grateful to have stumbled upon my job. For me, TMI is a home away from home. I have never had a job where I actually enjoy getting up and going to work. That’s because the atmosphere and people here are amazing. I am truly blessed to be a part of this family.
When I’m not at work, my time is spent with my wonderful husband, Aubrey, and our two sons, Jaydn and John David.

Leslie moved to Virginia from Denver, Colorado, in 1986 to accept the position of Projects Director at The Monroe Institute. She discovered her heart’s desire in the work of TMI and her true home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Nelson County. After six and a half years she moved on to other work, including eleven years with New Visions followed by the creation of BlueWebWeaver.com, which continues to serve clients today. The gap between 1993 and 2009 turned out to be a 16-year sabbatical. Leslie returned to the Institute in February 2009 to assist in bringing the rich store of TMI’s research archives to our new home on the Internet. She says it is a joy to once again participate in bringing TMI’s particular brand of “something of value” to the world!

Shirley came to Charlottesville, Virginia in 1968 and relocated to Nelson County in 1978. The opportunity to live in the Blue Ridge Mountains was a major draw. In 1988 I was hired by The Monroe Institute as Robert Monroe was preparing to roll out the HUMAN PLUS exercises. Participating in that project began a long learning curve concerning all things Monroe. In 1993, the departure of a long-time employee resulted in a move to the Research Lab and the assumption of additional duties as Professional Membership Director, Dolphin Energy Club (DEC) Coordinator, and Editor of the Focus and the Journal. Working in these areas—with the invaluable assistance of Ann Vaughan—has been and continues to be a rewarding opportunity to share the abundant resources of TMI with people around the world.

Sue is the personal assistant to Paul Rademacher and also handles Program Support and Membership Management. Sue moved to Virginia 6 years ago and has truly found a surrogate family at TMI. Sue encourages the all female office staff to be sure that “We women embrace our femininity”. This translates into painting our toenails, having hairspray on hand and enjoying being women!
