- It's a method of sending audio files over the internet. When you sign up for one, you'll get new audio files delivered to your computer as they become available, which saves you the trouble of repeatedly checking to see if there's anything new.
- With this and any other podcast, you should sign up if you're interested in the content and want it brought to you automatically.
- That depends on which program you're using to listen to them. The most popular is Apple's iTunes. From your personal iTunes account, choose "Subscribe to podcast" from the "Advanced" menu and enter the following text:
- Look in the "Podcasts" section of iTunes for new episodes and double-click to listen to them.
- You pointed iTunes to a special address called a "feed," which is just a very small and lightweight listing of audio files that gets updated whenever new material comes out. iTunes can then check the feed periodically and fetch any new audio files without having to bother you about it.
