Several early and rather explosive experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness set the stage for my life-long curiosity about why these experiences are meaningful and how they can be transformed and integrated into one's daily life. I'm also interested in the intersectionality between personal experience and family dynamics as well as cultural and global contexts. As a result of my direct experience, I came to appreciate the importance of being an advocate for the validity of the "unseen" worlds of experience beyond consensus reality.

As an adult I discovered Reiki and the human energy field and studied with Carol Sabick Quinn to become a Reiki Master. A series of synchronistic events led me to study the Shamanic worldview of the interrelatedness of life where Nature herself became one of my wisest teachers. And because hypnosis had been an extremely positive force in my own growth, I decided to pursue instruction and became a certified hypnotherapist and medical support hypnotherapist. I’m also certified in Life Between Lives Regression by Alan and Dee Chips through the A.R.E.

My study intensives have included training at Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach with Henry Reed and Carol Ann Liaros. My core shamanic studies have spanned a variety of traditions with many teachers and have been particularly enriched through alliance with the Q'ero precepts of indigenous Peruvian Shamanism.

Most recently I have delved deeply into Process Work – a neo Jungian approach developed by Arnold Mindell, PhD. Designed to unfold the flow of life with an emphasis on awareness, curiosity, and non-judgement from a quantum perspective. I am a graduate of the Institute’s 2-year Certificate and 4-year Master’s Programs in Process Work. As part of my studies, I have also reconnected with my "inner scientist" and renewed my interest in research with a particular focus on frontier research into the effects of Process Work methods on the quantum field.

I maintain a private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia – and nationally via the internet - with a particular interest, affinity and success in exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness, evolving creativity, spiritual awakening and integrating difficult experiences – both long-term and episodic – with my clients. I enjoy exploring both with individuals and groups and regularly employ Hemi-Sync technology to amplify states of consciousness that lead to enhanced experience.

I am a Fellow of the International Board of Hypnotherapy, certified by the Process Work Institute and MARI Creative Resources for Psychological Assessment. Currently I also serve on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Process Oriented Psychology, the worldwide association of certified Process Work practitioners.
