Ryan is a PGA Fellow Golf Professional with a passion for holistic sport coaching and exploration of consciousness.

Ryan has mentored, coached and worked with 1000s of players and sport professionals, often introducing them to meditation and self-hypnosis for the first time.

Head of Coaching at the Loretto School Golf Academy in Scotland for 5 years, Ryan helped develop the rising talents of the game of golf by helping to implement new coaching activities and strategies across both the Junior and Senior schools as well as working with golfers via long term development plans.

He was successfully awarded PGA Advanced professional status July 2014 by the British Professional Golfers Association (PGA) due primarily to his achievements in golf coaching and his commitment to continued professional learning.

In September 2014, he completed a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in sport coaching at the University of Birmingham, as well as completing the new UKCC Level 3 qualification with the Professional Golfers Association. He has also achieved the Golfing Machines Golf Stroke Engineering Bachelors, the Golf Stroke Engineering Masters and completed his Masters (MSc) in Sport Coaching at the University of Birmingham in November 2018. During this he explored the impact of motivations on coaching across adult golfers in Scotland. In 2019, he will complete his training in Sydney, Australia to become an accredited Meditation Coach and Qualified Hypnotherapist.

Ryan also tutors and assesses the ASQ UKCC Level 1 in golf for the PGA in Scotland and provides assistance and guidance to Volunteer and Professional coaches as part of his Scottish Golf Coach Developer Role. In May 2017, he was accepted onto the Sportscotland Educator team, where he tutors the Positive Coaching Scotland (PCS) Workshops and in March 2018 joined the Tutor Education team for Scottish Athletics, inducting coaches through the jog leadership programmes.

Due to his tutoring and development work based around creating coaching opportunities for beginner adults, disabled and wider Inclusive groups within various communities, he was upgraded to PGA Fellow status in May 2017 by the PGA of Great Britain.

Ryan launched his company Crystal Clear Coaching in May 2018, with the aim of providing holistic healing, mental and emotional support to those in need during this lifetime. His goal is to offer a healing place where people can become clearer, better facilitators, healers, sport professionals, or just a more joyful!
