Job Opening: Content Strategist and Creator
Location: United States (Fully Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $75,000 annually
Position Overview
The Monroe Institute is seeking a high-performing, creative, and data-driven Content Strategist & Creator to develop and produce high-engagement content across multiple platforms. This is a fully remote role.
This position is not about overseeing content production – it requires someone who is hands-on in content creation. You will be expected to develop, create, and edit engaging video, image, and graphics content while ensuring it aligns with brand messaging and strategy.
You will work closely with the Director of Marketing Communications and the Social Media Manager, who will handle content scheduling and posting. Your focus will be on creating compelling content that drives organic social media growth while following brand guidelines and strategic direction.
Who We’re Looking For
We attract high performers who are:
- Strategic and Agile – You can juggle multiple projects without sacrificing quality.
- Data-Driven Creatives – You create content based on proven high-engagement formulas.
- AI-Savvy – You know how to integrate AI tools to optimize and enhance content production.
- Video and Visual Experts – You have experience in short-form and long-form video production, post-production, and platform-specific optimizations.
- Brand-Aligned Yet Adaptive – You respect existing branding and take creative direction while bringing fresh, high-performing content ideas to the table.
- Execution-Focused – You do the work. This is not a managerial or producer-only role; you will be actively involved in content creation.
Before applying, please review our current social media content to ensure you are comfortable producing at this level and taking it further. This is a high-volume content role that requires a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute high-engagement content strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube.
- Create, edit, and produce video and image content from concept to final production using tools like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, Runway ML, Midjourney or equivalent.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance content creation, but not rely on AI-generated output without human refinement.
- Analyze content performance data and collaborate with the Director of Marketing Communications to refine strategies.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand messaging in all content.
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing Communications and the Social Media Manager to align content strategy with broader marketing goals.
- Introduce creative content ideas that enhance audience engagement while maintaining brand voice and mission.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in content marketing and organic social media growth.
- A proven track record of building content strategies from the ground up and scaling engagement successfully.
- Expertise in short-form and long-form video production and platform-specific optimizations.
- Strong storytelling and scripting skills. If you rely solely on AI for scripting, this role is not for you.
- A deep understanding of social media algorithms and high-engagement content trends.
- Hands-on experience with production software and AI tools for content creation and enhancement.
- A disciplined approach to creative execution, ensuring alignment with brand and marketing objectives.
