Position Summary
The Audio Engineer will be responsible for producing both guided and unguided meditation audio content that leverages Monroe Sound Science, our proprietary neural entrainment technology. This role will involve managing the full production pipeline from voiceover recording to final mastering, ensuring every meditation product meets the Monroe Institute's high standards of audio quality and transformative potential. Candidates must have expertise in audio editing and mixing with Logic Pro, advanced voice clean-up and processing, and familiarity with MIDI and software-based synthesizers. An understanding of immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with content creators and Monroe Institute trainers to design, produce, and deliver high-quality guided and unguided meditation audio experiences.
- Coach amateur voiceover artists in capturing high-quality voiceover recordings at home, providing guidance on equipment, room treatment, and microphone technique.
- Edit and clean voiceover recordings using Izotope RX and other tools to ensure clarity and professional-grade quality.
- Mix and master audio content in Logic Pro, ensuring it aligns with Monroe Institute's quality standards.
- Apply voice processing techniques such as compression and EQ to ensure clarity, warmth, and consistency in voiceover tracks, enhancing the overall listener experience.
- Incorporate neural entrainment frequencies into audio tracks to facilitate transformative experiences for listeners.
- Experiment with and utilize software synthesizers (e.g., Serum) to generate neural entrainment signals and add sound design elements to enhance meditation experiences.
- Mix in Dolby Atmos for immersive meditation experiences, aligning with the latest audio standards.
- Ensure each project follows the technical and creative guidelines established by the Monroe Institute, from initial concept to final output.
- Work with the CTO to evolve and improve audio production guidelines and procedures to achieve the highest level of quality.
- Stay updated on audio production techniques and tools relevant to the industry and apply innovative approaches to meditation audio engineering.
