Steve Winchester
residential Trainer
Steve discovered the Monroe Institute in 1992 by reading a book called The Watchers by Betty Andreasson, where the Monroe Institute was referenced in a footnote. Through a series of incredible coincidences, he was signed up for Gateway Voyage within a month. It was a turning point in his life. Bob showed him the way across the canyon between believing and knowing that he is more than his physical body. From that week on his life journey took off in new directions of self-discovery. Over the years of attending the Monroe Institute programs his understanding of reality shifted to enjoyment and wonder tempered with the eye of the tourist perceiving this human life as a vast amusement park with every ride imaginable and no lines.
Taking to heart Bob’s final message to “get it out there” he became active with the LCN (Local Chapter Network) acting as the regional coordinator for the northeastern and southwestern United States. Steve and his wife Deryn have run a monthly Monroe Local Chapter in Phoenix since 2012. In 2013 Steve became a residential trainer at Monroe. Steve is doing everything he can to share the good things he has received from Bob Monroe and the Monroe Institute.
Steve Winchester grew up in Newark, Delaware. There he raised three kids and worked in material science research at the DuPont Experimental Station for thirty-one years. Today he lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Deryn. He currently works as a research chemist for Versum Materials. Steve enjoys self-development and living by intention. He loves to travel and explore the places where hidden history, science and spirituality meet.
