ABOUT US
Day Spring Retreat House is located in Parrish, Florida, a community in Manatee County, Florida.
TRANSPORTATION
- About 30 minutes from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport
- About 50 minutes from Tampa International Airport, travel can be busy and congested to Sarasota
- Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available at the airports
OVERNIGHT HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS
- Check-in is 3 PM. Check-out is 10:00 AM on departure day. We can keep our meeting space until our program is over.
- All spaces are fully furnished and include bed linens, pillows, blankets, and towels. Single and double-occupancy rooms are available.
- Guests stay at the Retreat House, a 2-story chalet-style lodge with a view of the Day Spring Canopy. It has 10 bedrooms, and sleeps 10 privately or 20-22 semi-privately.
- Good cell coverage on the majority of the grounds.
- Smoking/vaping is not permitted in any enclosed area or on the Curry Hall deck. Smoke in designated areas only. Violation will result in a $200 penalty per incident.
MEETING SPACES
New Meeting Room –comfortable seating for 30 - 50
ALSO INCLUDED
- Up to three buffet style meals in our dining room
- No outside food or beverage can be catered, but outside snacks are allowed.
- Coffee and tea service is available throughout the day.
DINING AND CATERING
- All meals are served buffet style in the Curry Hall Dining Room, 45 minutes is allowed per meal. Meals include a salad bar, fresh fruit bar and dessert table.
- Day Spring accommodates most diet restrictions. They will need to know in advance to plan menus and portions, includes vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, and shellfish allergies.
- Footwear and appropriate attire are required (no bathing suits, pajamas, etc.) when on the deck of Curry Hall or entering the Curry Hall dining room.
Amenities:
Swimming pool, canoes/kayaks, the chapel, and campfire pit are available. Your trainer will arrange group canoeing. Reservations for individual swimming pool use are made through the Reservations Office and are $12 per person. Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times for your protection including during canoe usage (i.e. water shoes, old tennis shoes-no flip flops or sandals). We recommend participants bring an extra pair of shoes if going canoeing.
