Demi Pietchell came to the Monroe Institute as someone who has spent decades asking, through her films, writing, and other content, the same questions Monroe builds its programs around: what consciousness actually is, what the self is beyond the physical body, and whether the architecture of reality is more porous than the prevailing story admits.
She is the founder of The Starfire Codes, an independent investigative and metaphysical publication at starfirecodes.com, and the host of The Starfire Codes Podcast. She is also a contributing writer at The Advocates for Self-Government, a Certified Life Coach, a divination reader working with tarot, shufflemancy, numerology, and runes, and the founder of MCG Starfire, a virtual Monroe Community Group that meets weekly.
Demi is an award-winning filmmaker with over thirty years of experience in media, digital marketing, metaphysics, and research. She holds a BFA in Film and Television and an MPS in Interactive Telecommunications, both from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Her work has been recognized with awards in narrative, writing, and experimental filmmaking, and has been shown domestically and internationally. As a body, the work lives in the spaces between time and memory, narrative and myth, what is broadcast and what is felt.
Previously, she served as executive producer of the Comcastro podcast, named a top podcast by Atlanta Magazine in 2015, as head of Social Media Club Palm Beach County, and as a university instructor in film production, including sound design and sound post-production.
Demi joined the Monroe Institute Professional Division in 2021, the same year she founded The Starfire Codes. Her formal Monroe training progressed through the Professional Seminar and Remote Viewing Basics in 2021, the Gateway Voyage Virtual in November 2024, the Lifeline Virtual in March 2025, and the Kortum Technique in October 2025.
Demi loves to create space for direct experience. She holds the working assumption that drew her to Monroe in the first place: that human beings have access to far more than they have been taught to expect, and that the tools to verify this can be learned, practiced, and integrated into
ordinary life. Her upcoming workshops will offer a structured path for the curious, the skeptical, and the people who have already sensed something beyond the framework they were handed and want a way to explore it.
Demi lives in St. Louis, Missouri. Her small library keeps insisting on getting larger. She is most herself in long conversations that lose track of time and in the moments of pure epiphany when something she has been wondering about for years suddenly makes sense. She runs on too much
coffee and a sharp sense of humor, both of which she considers to be load-bearing infrastructure.
