After 40 years of teaching Monroe programs, we’ve learned a lot about what makes for a successful experience. And we’ve come to understand that the technology, while important, is only part of the success formula.

Equally important are the tools, techniques and people (including you) engaged in the exploration. Our programs make an impact because we pay attention to teaching style, language use, setting, pacing and intention. Group energy, preparation and stillness—being in the present and thinking in the present tense—are also important.

History has taught us that the depth of your practice and the intensity of your desire are vital to the success of your experience. You have to both be in the experience and observe the experience. You have to ask the right questions at the right time and be open to receiving the answers, or non-answers, as they unfold.
