Celebrating Twenty Years with Parvin Soltani

This year marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most enduring gatherings in the Monroe Community Group network: the weekly Sunday group led by Parvin Soltani.

Parvin began hosting the group two decades ago, opening her home each Sunday afternoon to anyone interested in the Monroe Institute’s work. She offered refreshments and created a welcoming space where people could listen to Monroe audio exercises, reflect, and share their experiences. These weekly meetings have continued ever since, making hers the longest-running active group within the Monroe community.

Today, the group meets online and draws participants from across the globe. A dedicated core of regular attendees returns each week. Many have described the group as one of clarity, structure, and steady energy. Guest speakers are a recurring part of the format and are consistently described as insightful and engaging.

Richard Tilson, a longtime participant from Saskatchewan, offered this reflection:

"Parvin’s Zoom is by far the best one I attend. Core group of regular attendees are spiritually mature regardless of physical age.  Group energy is great to assist with meditation. Speakers are always interesting. This is a group of a wide range of people from all around the world. Parvin does a great job keeping the train on the tracks and keeping the zoom regular. A big thanks to Parvin for doing this!”

Monroe Community Groups (MCGs), previously known as Local Chapter Networks, were created to help Monroe graduates and newcomers remain engaged in their exploration of consciousness. MCGs meet either in person or online to listen to exercises, share insights, and connect with others who understand that we are more than our physical bodies.

Group leaders like Parvin are volunteers who carry the mission forward. They provide consistency, guidance, and a shared space for curiosity to grow. These leaders form a committed network dedicated to personal transformation through group connection.

Parvin Soltani’s group exemplifies that commitment. For twenty years, she has held a steady rhythm of gathering, listening, and learning - week after week. Her leadership stands as a clear reflection of what it means to build not just a meeting, but a meaningful community.

Thank you, Parvin!
