The Art of Awakening
The Art of Awakening
In this unique collaboration, The Monroe Institute invites you to surrender into a healing visual journey shaped by the visionary artist Rassouli and inspired by the mystic poet Rumi. Watch as Rassouli’s striking canvases breathe, shift, and awaken on screen - each moment a metaphoric doorway from the darkness of the black-primed cloth into the radiance of inner transformation. Monroe Sound Science (MSS) guides you gently through the field of light, creating a safe container where the mind quiets, the heart opens, and the soul’s deeper yearnings may emerge.
This piece is crafted for anyone ready to journey beyond fear, to reconnect with their innate brilliance, and to remember that the union of opposites - light and shadow, east and west, art and spirit - is truly where healing and wholeness meet.
About the Artist Rassouli:
Rassouli is an award-winning and visionary artist, author, and founder of the artistic movement Fusionart - a philosophy and process dedicated to uniting the opposites. Born in Iran and now based in Southern California, he studied fine arts and architecture at the University of New Mexico and environmental psychology at the University of Southern California. Blending Eastern mysticism with Western artistic expression, Rassouli’s work embodies the harmony of spirit and form. He paints primarily with his fingers, rags, and brushes, beginning each piece on a black canvas to bring forth light through color and intuition.
His paintings have been exhibited across the United States, Europe, and Asia, and featured in more than 30 publications worldwide. He has authored several books on creativity and mysticism, and continues to inspire others through his workshops, retreats, and public talks.
