The Board, staff and trainers of Monroe Institute are a worldwide group of very committed people from varying backgrounds, who are dedicated to the Monroe mission.

Helping people create more meaningful and joyful lives through the guided exploration of expanded consciousness.

Our trainers have a wide range of expertise and a great depth of personal experience in training, assisting with personal development, and consciousness studies. Their commitment to encouraging you to discover your own unique journey is a special characteristic of Monroe trainers. They do not profess to know all the answers, but rather work to empower you to find your own. As Bob Monroe often said: “Don’t believe what I say, but go find out for yourself!”

Joel McGinley

Chair | United States

Joel is the co-founder and Managing Director at Hubtek, a tech-enabled talent, training, and automation solutions provider. He has a BS in Business Administration and graduate degree in finance, adding 40 years of business and finance experience to Monroe’s Board of Directors. His expertise is growth and bringing about major shifts that result in significant improvements, unlocking wealth building potential in people and businesses for 40 years. His passion is learning more about how success reality works and believes investing in personal development and training should be a number one priority.

Allyn Evans

Chief Executive Officer | United States

Allyn is serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Monroe Institute. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Texas Tech University. She has been a beloved Monroe trainer for more than a decade and currently continues to train the Energy Medicine program with Brian Dailey, MD. Allyn previously served as Monroe's Chief Program Officer and also played a key role in helping to develop content for Monroe's meditation app, Expand.

Frank Kenna

Treasurer | United States

Frank is a Connecticut-based entrepreneur who is interested in technology, investing, spirituality and the peaceful advancement of humanity. He recently completed the digital transition and sale of a decades-old B2B company and holds a degree from the School of Management at Boston University along with 9 U.S. software patents. He is serving his 3rd term on the Monroe board and sits on the finance & investment committees and others as needed.

Jim Becker

United States

Jim started a brokerage company in 1997 which has grown to $120M in annual revenue. His brings to Monroe's board, leadership, public speaking and corporate strategies skills. Jim's motto is, “If nothing changes, nothing changes.” Jim has learned to focus on the "journey" of life. His purpose is to help people become a better version of themselves and to live life without regrets, feel empowered, and act with confidence. He begins each morning by reciting a quote from Groucho Marx, “Yesterday is dead, and tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, and I’m going to be happy in it.”

Luigi Sciambarella

Secretary | United Kingdom

Luigi is a UK-based Monroe Institute trainer and UKCP registered hypno-psychotherapist. Since 2010, Luigi has been involved in expanding Monroe’s international reach through global collaborations, talks, interviews and podcasts, and Expand app content creation. Luigi holds qualifications in Psychology and Psychotherapy and is involved in teaching and accrediting hypno-psychotherapy students through the UK’s National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. His mission is to increase awareness of the Monroe Institute and build a vibrant international community.

Dr. Anoop Menon

United States

Dr. Anoop Menon is the co-founder and CEO of Eisengard AI Inc, an AI startup whose mission is to democratize data science and AI. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Management (Strategy) at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He completed his doctoral studies in Strategy from the Harvard Business School. Dr. Menon is interested in the role of cognition in strategic decision making, and his prior research applied machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to strategic analysis. His research has received recognition including the Wyss Award for Excellence in Doctoral Research at the Harvard Business School. An award-winning educator, he taught elective courses in both the undergraduate and MBA programs at Wharton on competitive strategy and strategic change, with a focus on strategic change during times of digital disruption.

Lisa Shea

United States

Ms. Shea is the owner of Immigrants First, PLLC, a prominent immigration and human rights law firm since 2007, as well as an adjunct immigration professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. She is the author of Immigration Law Essentials for Virginia Practitioners, Virginia CLE Publications in 2021. Ms. Shea has trained thousands of people on immigration, women’s human rights and constitutional law issues. As a result of Ms. Shea’s excellence in law and leadership, she has received several awards and recognitions. In 2023, Ms. Shea was awarded Prince William Living Magazine Influential Women Award. In 2021, she won the Prince William County Universal Human Rights Award, and in 2015 she was presented with the Virginia Women Attorney Association Justicia Award, as well as numerous other awards and appointments to nonprofit boards. Ms. Shea has her B.A. from Allegheny College; an LL.B. from the University of Sheffield School of Law; her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law; and certification in nonprofit management from Georgetown University. Ms. Shea is an experienced and certified energy healer and intuitive coach, with some of her certifications coming from the Monroe Institute.
