Research Overview

Monroe Sound Science and Consciousness Research

Our Monroe Sound Science research projects study the effects of our proprietary sound technology in assisting individuals to achieve meditative states and altered states of human consciousness. Monroe Sound Science research focuses on the following objectives:

  • Establishment and facilitation of coordinated studies of human consciousness and meditative states using interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Promote the understanding that consciousness research is most meaningful when there are practical applications.
  • Search for and investigate various tools and techniques to facilitate evocative and transformative meditative states, and altered states of consciousness.
  • Publishing the results of our consciousness research studies.

Research Collaborators

Monroe Institute partners with organizations such as IONs and the University of Virginia's Division of Perceptual Studies on Monroe Sound Science research projects. These studies explore the effect of our sound technology on brainwave activity, including synchronous gamma frequencies that could indicate a bridge of awareness from subconscious to superconscious states.

If you wish to conduct research in collaboration with our team of researchers please submit a formal proposal to the above email in adherence to our professional and ethical
standards.

List of Current and Upcoming Studies

  1. Discovery program (Monroe Sound Science audio-technology)
  2. ASSEP (Audio Study State Evoked Potential)
  3. Copper Wall Project
  4. Distant Healing Intention (publication is pending)

As our Monroe Sound Science research unfolds, our sound technology will continue to grow in its support of the study and experience of meditative states and expanded states of consciousness.
